Textiles exhibition from the Deo Gloria Trust.
The exhibition is scheduled to run for two months.
The main trade of Wimborne Minster town at a certain point in its history was weaving. Some of the weavers would have been operating their looms in St George’s Chapel at The Minster. We believe that this chapel is named because St George is the patron saint of weavers.
There is a page with information about the exhibition’s content at http://www.cathedralexhibition.org.uk click on the Banner Hire link and then select “Creation”.
These are the tapestries which will be displayed in St George’s Chapel.
